Costa Rica: A Personal Tale
I visited the tropical rain forest in Costa Rica from December 29 to January 8, 2008 as part of an Earthwatch expedition. The aim of the expedition was to engage in scientific research collecting, rearing and conducting lab experiments with caterpillars at La Selva Biological Research Institute.
Costa Rica has an incredible biodiversity. As a nature photographer I felt I had been placed in paradise as the rain forest in Costa Rica is indeed magical. I was up and out most days before the sun was out with my eyes, cameras and lenses ready to go.
I have three goals for this website:
describe the scientific research goals and activities of the expedition.
create photo galleries to show some of the biodiversity of this rain forest.
teaching tool for my technology classes.
